2021 Year of the Pokemon

I don't know if any of you Pokémon fans have noticed but 2021 has became the year of Pokémon I think. Were just now in the beginning of march and already The Pokemon Company has revealed 5 major upcoming video game titles and have just celebrated its 25th anniversary with some virtual concerts by big name artists like Post Malone and Katy Perry. But anyways were here to talk about those 5 games we mentioned.

The first game we learned about is the New Pokemon Snap for Nintendo Switch. This a Photography action game that is a follow up to the 1996 Nintendo 64 classic Pokemon Snap. A Lot of the older pokemon fans will remember this game and lots have been begging for a another one every since and now finally we have it. This game has the same basic features as the original but has also added a few new features including the Luminous Effect, it also appears to allow you to post your pictures online in a Pokemon snap club of some sorts and even enter the pictures you have taken into different contests. The game also features lot of the newer Pokemon that were not around during the Original Pokemon snap and introduces a new Region into the Pokemon world called the Lental Region. New Pokemon Snap is available April 30th of this year.

Games 2 and 3 are of course a classic Pokemon set of games and is also the most awaited remakes in the Pokemon Franchise. They are ofcourse Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl for the Nintendo Switch, which are Remakes to the games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Versions that were released on the Nintendo DS in 2007. An exact date for these games has not yet been announced but it has been stated that it will be later this year.

Now the 4th game has come as somewhat of a surprise and its called Pokemon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch. According to Pokemon.com this game will take us back to the sinnoh region but in a way that we have not seen yet in a Pokemon game with a more in depth action role play experience and a new more immersive battle system. I'm really excited to hear about this game and i personally can't wait for its release even more so than I was when I heard about New Pokemon Snap. The exact date of this game has also not yet been released but it is said to be in early 2022.

Now the 5th game is unique in several different ways not only is a new battle strategy style pokemon game, it's not only being released on the Nintendo switch but also for both Apple and Android mobile devices. I don't really know a whole lot about this game and the release date has not yet been announced. But the title of the game is Pokemon United.
